Abrasives
The abrasive is the essential element to obtain the lapping characteristics required for a given application. It is essential due to its diversity in nature, granulation and presentation.
The diamond abrasive is mainly used in poli-lapping and polishing operations.

There are 3 types of diamond :
|
Synthetic diamond The synthetic monocrystalline diamond is obtained by a means of carbon synthesis. Its monocrystalline structure enables the diamond to have a flexible hardness according to the manufacturing process used. |
|
Synthetic polycrystalline diamond The synthetic polycrystalline diamond is an agglomerate of monocrystals obtained by explosion. The surface is slightly porous and is characterised by a darker colour than monocrystalline synthetic diamond. |
|
Natural diamond The natural diamond is produced from the nature, the crystal of which is more or less perfect. It is generally of a very good hardness, but is less used than formerly in the industry. |
Our development and chemistry laboratory finalised a range of carriers adapted as well in solubility, viscosity and thixotropy, answering all problems: production, research and maintenance. Moreover LAM PLAN defined its own criteria of calibration and diamond concentration.
