LAM PLAN's know-how has allowed us to develop over the years a full range of polishing cloths allowing all the parameters to be optimised so as to match the user’s specification as closely as possible.

LAM PLAN : unique and acknowledged know-how in the field of polishing discs
When approaching the superfinishing step it is essential to use a disc perfectly suited to the specific need. Therefore we need to control the composition and manufacture of the polishing discs to be used.
The following polishing disc are the most use in Lapping work:

• the LAM PLAN 9450
• the LAM PLAN 450
• the LAM PLAN 432

The LAM PLAN and AQUA LAM polishing discs form a group of 4 big classes of fabrics :

Woven fabrics

Flocked fabrics

Compressed fabrics

Non-woven fabrics

Each one of these classes comprises several types of discs with different characteristics (material the active part is made of, type of weaving: flocked or fibres, density, thickness, etc…) and is to be used for a given application. For each application these various parameters must be combined with the abrasive and the lubricant used.

This is why LAM PLAN has developed two ranges of products :

• The LAM PLAN ® product range to be used with diamond abrasives,
• The AQUA LAM ® product range to be used with traditional abrasives.

Finally, the specifications sheet of the user contains 3 criteria :

• the stock removal (MR)
• the flatness (F)
• the finish or roughness (FoR)
